Our Trip to Kauai!!!

Katey...this is for you! the next post will be cooler, i promise!

Yes, I am finally doing another post! I took over 800 pictures in Hawaii, so I am going to do a couple of different posts as I go through the pictures....

Sunday we found a local ward to go to, and then we got plate lunches and headed to a little place called "spouting horn" to hang out and eat lunch. There are roosters everywhere on Kauai and here they were surrounding us, and even jumping up on the benches and on our table while we were eating! They are funny and a bit confused...they just walk all over the island and crow all day long.

the "spouting horn" it doesnt look that cool, but it makes a cool sound when the water blows out!

This is the beach in front of the hotel we stayed at the first part of our trip. It is called shipwreck beach and ended up being the best body surfing the entire time we were there! There are rock shelves along the beach where the water is shallow, so it is not considered one of the "safe" swimming beaches....but we thought it was fun! You can see people on the cliff in the background, they were jumping off of it...it looked like fun, but we didnt try it!

This is Waimea canyon the "grand canyon of the pacific" we spent all day on monday hiking here and it was so amazing! we hiked to the top of the waterfall you can see in this picture...i will post pics from there too, it was really cool because you could walk on these big flat rocks right up to where the water goes over and sit and hang your legs over! pretty cool!
there are actually a lot of cool pictures from this day, so I will do that for the next post...

Silly Boys...

Cameron and Graham want someone to lay by them every night when they are going to sleep, so we pushed their beds together so now they can lay by each other. I didn't know how well it would go, but they love it! I go in to check on them and they are always snuggled up together in one bed or the other! They also love it because they have a huge area of bed to jump on!

I just went upstairs to check on them and I found all three of them jumping on the beds and laughing! They were pretending to be soccer monsters (something from a cartoon they saw) and running and jumping on the beds! Graham recently discovered elbow and knee pads and insists on wearing them all day!
They are such fun boys, I love it when they all play together and get along!!!

Fall Leaves

Any of you who have been past our house know that we have leaves.....6 huge trees and 4 small trees worth! Needless to say, our lawn is completely buried! Every year, we go out and rake them into piles, and then Aaron spends several hours bagging them up and lining them up on our driveway. Then, instead of making one trip to the dump, we add as many bags to our garbage as will fit each week......it usually takes us until Christmas to get rid of all of them!

They really are a pain to get rid of, but I think (Aaron wouldn't agree) that they are worth the work for how much the kids enjoy them! We can make huge piles to play in....they run through them, jump into them (or get thrown in) and throw them up in the air for hours!

I love Fall!

HALLOWEEN

Well, I haven't kept up with the blog lately, so here is all of our Halloween fun in one post!

We went to Packs pumpkin patch with Shawn and Emily.....they have a great hay maze for the kids and they love going there! I ended up going to this pumpkin patch three times this year,
and I loved it every time....I love the pumpkin patch!

We carved pumpkins (only Graham would pose for a picture), went to boo at the zoo (with the rest of the salt lake valley), and went trick or treating at daddys work and around our neighborhood! The kids had a blast....even Owen, as soon as he realized people were giving him candy, loved Halloween!
